The internet is quite easily one of the best things that’s ever happened to shopping for fashion. Thanks to online clothing stores, there’s no need to brave bad weather or bustling crowds to get all of the latest looks that you love, as you can simply order them to be sent straight to your home instead, without even having to stand up.

Hmmmmmm.
Exaggerated perhaps, but interesting onetheless. Still. Ewwwww. Watch the video. And the other one below it.
And who ever said beauty has no lines...?
This is not making someone "young and beautiful again." This is creating a piece of art using photoshop or whatever. Interesting. But not real.

A little over two years ago, I was temporarily banned, or rather my Facebook page for amazingwomenrock.com was temporarily banned from Facebook for posting an image of a woman with her mouth taped shut and the caption: Don't Tap it and Wrap it, Tape Her and Rape Her.
You can see the image and the subsequent post about it at these links:
Yesterday, I ran into this story about artist Micol Hebron who's Facebook page was shut down three times last week (July 2015) by Facebook, first for posting the image above, and then for posting a link to an article about the fact that she had been banned.
The article says:
"Hebron has gotten some criticism from those who say that focusing on nipples is a small matter compared to larger issues of gender inequality. 'I certainly agree,' she says, 'but not valuing bodies equally is a fundamental issue and when you inherently value a certain demographic less, it leads to all of the other things. It leads to the wage gap, to domestic abuse, to rape. It’s at the core, when fundamental human respect doesn’t play out evenly on the field of images.'"
I agree.
This AWR post is in solidarity with Micol Hebron. Herr website is here.

Austin Texas rock band The Mrs noticed the same thing I did in 2005 when I first started AmazingWomenRock.com.
Many women don't think very highly of themselves. Many of us don't realize how truly amazing we are.
Each one of us, regardless of whether we know it or not contributes in a wonderful, magical, meaningful way to the world around us.
Like me, The Mrs decided to do something about the deficit they saw.
They wrote a song. And then they experimented with a magic mirror in a mall.
Here's what happened:

I stumbled on a 2011 video that shocked me.
It purported to be of Miss USA contestants answering the question “Should math be taught in schools?”
I watched in horror as the first few young women gave their answers:
It didn’t take me long to realize it was a parody – a satirical piece poking fun at somthing else. "But at what?” I wondered. Where was the original?
I looked for more information.
Ah. A video by @mackenzief, @kevgot, Leslie Collins, @gracehelbig, @lorrainecink, @jencurran, @risasarachan, @FarynEinhorn, Corinne Donly, @sarajanetaylor, @ericmpearson, Elias Altman, @mclendaniel
They were dissing this:
The answers shook me. Evolution is a "theory" that should NOT be taught in schools?
Oh. My. God.
