Mae West (August 17, 1893 – November 22, 1980) was an American actress, playwright, screenwriter and sex symbol.
Known for her bawdy double entendres, West made a name for herself in Vaudeville and on the stage in New York before moving to Hollywood to become a comedienne, actress and writer in the motion picture industry. One of the more controversial movie stars of her day, West encountered many problems including censorship.

Anyone for Bingo? You bet!
My ex mother-in-law played bingo all the time, and loved it. When she couldn’t go out to play anymore, she played via the TV. Still loved it.
I play it too – with my Mom at the care facility in which she lives.
It’s a great pastime and something virtually anyone from eight to 88+ can master.

July 1st is my country’s birthday. Over the past 20 years, I’ve become a citizen of the world. Nevertheless, I love Canada, and I missed it during my 18 years as an expatriate.
(Needless to say I didn't miss using tax software and paying Canadian taxes from which being an expat freed me!)
