Susan Brownell Anthony (February 15, 1820 – March 13, 1906) was a prominent American civil rights leader who played a pivotal role in the 19th century women's rights movement to introduce women's suffrage into the United States.
She traveled the United States, and Europe, and gave 75 to 100 speeches every year on women's rights for 45 years.

Hazel McCallion has won 12 consecutive municipal elections to remain the Mayor of Mississauga, Ontario, (Canada’s sixth largest city), for the past 36 years, outlasting a total of eight Canadian Prime Ministers.
That in itself is amazing. Even more so is the fact that Hazel just celebrates her 93rd birthday as I update this in 2014, and is still going strong.

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (February 4, 1913 – October 24, 2005) was an African American civil rights activist, whom the U.S. Congress later called "the first lady of civil rights", and "the mother of the freedom movement".
On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks, age 42, refused to obey bus driver James Blake's order that she give up her seat to make room for a white passenger.
