The Women’s Intersport Network for Kansas City (WIN for KC), was established in 1994 with the mission to empower girls and women through advocating and promoting the lifetime value of sports and fitness, while providing opportunities for leadership development.

Katherine Dunn is a best-selling novelist, journalist, voice artist, radio personality, book reviewer, and poet from Portland, Oregon.
Dunn was born in Garden City, Kansas on October 24, 1945. She went to high school in Tigard, Oregon, and later attended Reed College in Portland.
Girls Leadership Education and Advancement Mission (GLEAM) empowers girls and women through mentorship and education with the intention to serve. Based in the South Pacific, GLEAM is a non-profit organisation that raises money to fund scholarships for girls who need financial assistance to complete school.
